Our first Button Accordion Championship in 2016 had an amazing panel of Judges. Thank you to Martin Težak, LynnMarie Hrovat and Matthew Lebar. We were honoured to have you on our judging panel. Here is a short reminder of our Judges from the 2016 Championship. Now, can you guess who will be the judges for the 2018 Championship? Here they are:
Matthew Lebar
We are very excited to have Matthew Lebar returning as lead judge for the 2018 Button Accordion Championship. Matt is a well-known musician, band leader and music teacher who has provided inspiration to multiple generations of musicians over the last five decades.
LynnMarie Hrovat
LynnMarie Hrovat, musician, singer, author, television producer, and 5-time Grammy nominated performing artist, is returning to the Judging panel for 2018. LynnMarie is such a popular entertainer and ambassador of button accordion music, we had to bring her back for the 2018 Championship.
Maria Ahacic Pollak
A big Welcome to our newest judge, Maria Ahacic Pollak -- multi-talented singer, composer, recording artist, radio producer and author. We are very excited to have Maria on the Judges Panel for the 2018 Button Accordion Championship.
Martin Težak
We are thrilled to announce that Martin Težak, a multiple time winner in both the World and European button accordion championships will be returning to the judges panel for the 2018 Canadian Slovenian Button Accordion Championship. Martin will also be bringing with him even MORE of his exceptionally talented music students to compete in the championship. We can't wait to hear them!
